Created with Fire
I used to paint for any years. As a hobby, all night long after work or weekends. Sooner or later most of my paintings became sculptural, from paper to shaped a convex base and used various different materials to turn them into sculpture images.
I was not aware at this time, however, this paved the way to ceramics for me. Clay creates the opportunity for infinite creation. It is unbelievably exciting to discover and bring into life all the opportunities concealed deep inside clay. With the technical knowledge and my hands, I can create something combining Earth and Water, painting with Fire, bringing in the element of Air, and in an infinite number of forms and colours taking shape as pictures, wall installations, painting-like objects. With a metallic touch in the final products, I incorporate all the Five Elements to appear in my works.
This mosaic is the interpretation if the feeling what the Danube means to me. The infinity, the unpredictability and the richness of the river, and the harmony of all creating a special power here symbolised by the circle of the mosaic.
